Re: crash Knobs for 08-09 Ninja 250r
Hello KSRC
newbie here I have just joined to comment on this post and ask for your help.
My name is peter lucas from Kenma Pty Ltd the Ogg y Knobb distributors.
We will have stock of the crash protection kit to suit the Ninja 250 2008-2009 in approximately 3 weeks.
It is a bracketed NO-CUT kit, they will be $265.00RRP and you can order them from your favorite dealer Australia wide.
Even though we do not have the stock yet your dealer can place a back order to ensure you do not miss out on the first shipment.
Now for the help part, Promoto the Australian manufacturer of crash Knobbs have just redesigned the KNOBB kit to suit 04-05 ZX10R
They need to test the fitment on a street bike with the original fairings. we have had no luck getting access to a bike via our usual network and are asking for your help.
Promoto are in Williamstown in Victoria and if anyone down there can spare their own time and bike for us to use to check the design and would like a free set of OGG-Y KNOBBS and AXLE ARMOUR for the trouble please do not hesitate to contact me via this forum or ph 02 94840777
n.b the same goes for the 09 ZX6R if anybody with one of these is keen, however this is a complete redesign and will take much longer,
here's hoping and best regards plucas http://www.kenma.com.au

Oh, how I love a healthy dose of irony. I mean really, having to mis-spell your OWN FUCKING BRAND NAME in what amounts to little more than "help wanted" advert because you threatened to sue the very people you now want help from is just priceless.

Just to clear a couple of things up,
The company that contacted us was not Kenma so Peter is probly unaware of why he can't type in og gy correctly (although he got around it so perhaps he is
).. The company that contacted us and asked us not to miss use the name og gy was in fact Promoto.
I wouldn't say we were threatened to be sued but there was a strong request to remove there name when not used correctly.
To ensure this didn't happen a word substition has been used hence og gy when typed correctly will say crash.

I have had dealings with Kenma in the past and have no issues with them.

Beyond the irony involved (explained by MadKaw) sounds like a good deal for the mexicans.

After reading Dave's... umm MadKaw Dave's response.
I PM'd the guy, well a couple days later he rang and said he was happy and thankfull I would consider the idea and I asked how long and when etc. He said he was from Sydney and a guy from Willy here in Melb would ring the next day......
waiting
waiting
waiting
still nothing, so if they do ring now they can go phuck emselves
I was gunna give the CRASH KNOBS up for auction to the site ( I already have some ) but alas these guys have again shown themselves to be less than user friendly.
Cheers
