Re: Tyre Pressure
Go from the details on the sidewall of the tyre, Freeway & highway use go high....... say 36 - 40 PSI your tyres will last longer & work better.

Re: Tyre Pressure
Thanks for that..
the manual says 41psi, but feels a bit hard. I might drop them 2 or 3 and see how it goes.
Cheers

Re: Tyre Pressure
don't go off the manual, that is only really suitable for the OEM tyres that are long gone. Better to go off the tyre sidewall & use their recomended

Re: Tyre Pressure
My ZZR1100 and my 14 I 've found the best working pressure to be 40 psi.
Tried the 42 on both and she cnr's much better with 40!

Re: Tyre Pressure
The front tire pressure is generally lower than the rear. My owners manual says 36 front 42 rear. I have varied that slightly but if it were me I would go by the owners manual for your bike. The pressures on the sides of the tires are the manufacturors maximum psi for that particular tire. Some have a max of 42psi some have a max of 48psi that does not mean that is what you should run. have a Jim Beam and a brew and all will become clear. Remember always check tire pressure with the tires cold. First thing in the morning is best before you ride. Hot tire pressures can increase the cold pressure more than 10 pounds. The manufacturors pressure max is also cold pressure and when the tire is hot it can and will exceed that max which is OK. Never bleed your tires down to the recommended pressure when the tires are hot. An underinflated tire will explode as the extra flex increases tire temp beyond what it should be. Not a good thing if your going fast. (I've had this happen).

Re: Tyre Pressure
38 Front 40 Rear could be a good combo based off the above
