New trackie

Post by Baddie »

Hello Boys and Girls,
Just pick up a 2010 ZX10r from the auction today with very little damage. Frame shows no impact/damage, it was first register 11th of August 2010, you can still see the dimples on the top of the front tyre, I’m guess less than 1000kms on the clock as the headers are still that golden colour.

BUT I need to buy a new wiring harness as the main plug that goes to the Speedo was cut clean though, so I’m wondering if anyone knows if the 2008,2009 wiring harness is the same as the 2010?

Cheers

We have found a few differences between the '09 and 2010 model ZX10 when fitting fender eliminators etc while other parts like exhausts were the same. I have no idea about the harness itself but when I tried to purchase a TRE for the 2010 I was told the one for the '08 - '09 would not fit/work on the later model. It might be worth double checking with Kawasaki just to be sure.

Cheers sent same message to zx10r.net....Its going to be built for track use only so the fairing well be a case of lining up and pre-drilling.

What i do need is a complete exhaust unit from headers back if anyone has something laying around. :D
