Swing arm and suspension linkage bearings ZX9R

Post by paulsj »

Hey all,

Just wondering where you guys source your needle roller and ball bearings and seals. Does everyone just fork out at the Kawa dealership? Or are there anyone in australia with kits or spares suitable?

I went to my local CBC bearing supplier who told me that the 3 needle rollers in the swingarm are made by Koyo for OEM sale only so he cant get them in the others in linkage seem to be a common size that he can get for me.

Jusy thought i would throw it out there before i spend my hard earned.

cheers

I just bought the OEM from the dealer. Don't recall them being very expensive either.

I went through a local bearing place in blacktown for mine, had em next day, cost a boatload less than OEM

Only hitch was the big assed needle rollers inside the swingarm pivot itself, those I gave up on and bought them new, 23 pacific pesos a piece

Cheers

Yeah looks like swing arm pivot needle rollers are OEM only getting them through Peter Stevens for 3 needle bearings retail for $52:35 for all 3, the roller bearing retails for $6:90. The R/H seal retails for $10:50 and the L/H seal retails for $9:10. What sucks is that the sleeve that the needles roll on in mine was all corroded too and it's $65.

The suspension linkage needle bearings I can get through the local bearing supplier.

Watch out when you get the saddle bearings, there is 1 bearing that is slightly smaller than the rest of them, make sure you check the ID/OD on them, and the length.
