that is a good point stereo, but i bolted a plate to the top of the ramp to combat that problem.

works like a treat :D

The best size ramp for this sort of thing is about 2.4m. The shorter the ramp the more likely it will foul on the tray after the front wheel has gone on the tray.
heres the expert on putting a bike on a ute!!

mate the 2 things to consider as already pointed out

- height of tray ..so the belly dont scrape, and so u can get ur ass up on the tray,balanced (as hemi pointed out)...coupla mates to stabilise maybe...real long ramp...and the gutter trick is a good one....
