VICROADS website doesn't have any thing on double points. Hope not as I picked up 3 today outside Coldstream for 20kms over (100 in an 80).
Take care around the Healesville area, I saw several SS and std cars booking people.
Cheers,
TC

had a close call on the way home from the dynorun/Dave's. was at the front of the lights and had a light truck pull out fron the left and cut across in front of me just before the lights changed. Revved the bike a bit, cut to the right lane and around it chugging away uphill in the left lane. As i came to the crest of the hill as i was cutting back into the left lane i looked ahead and saw a half dozen boys in blue all crowded around a lidar just as i started backing off (i swear they were having their own bbq from how they were acting).
Then looked at my speedo, and FARK 84, then remembered my speedo is 12% optimistic the entire way through the range. Rode past them veery much dead on 70 as i watched a persuit car pull out of a side street on the opposite side of the road and drive the opposite way to me, i was just WAITING for him to do a u-turn, which he never did thank christ. I later worked out that i would have been doing 76km/h max, and i was hoping they'd not even bother with me.
Now im just crossin my fingers that they didnt bother gettin my plate to post me a surprise, as i was only just gettin past someone and was doing my only bit of belting (seriously) on the way home.
reminds me again why i hate riding on double demerit weekends.

A guy who came on a ride with us Yesterday was pulled over for a random licence and registration check on his way out of the city yesterday morning just near Doreen. His bike is stock, and he is fully licenced so it wasn't an issue, but the officers reactions were.
Apparently they went around to the back of the bike, and one exclaimed to the other...."Hey, look at this, you can actually see this guys licence and registration" the other officer replied with the guys licence in his hand while laughing and said...."Yeah...AND he is actually licenced"

They reckon they are doing a blitz on bikes at the moment doing random licence and RWC checks. So be warned if you or your bike isn't fully legal.
He was actually a bit lucky in one way, as he had been up at broadford the previous day on that bike and they tyres had balls of rubber hanging off the sides of em!

				ROFL Strika !!!
I ride to and from Trackdays (700k each way) and have been pulled a few times on the way home and had to explain that the balls are from the track NOT the road....
Pretty funny actually that when this DOES come and they find you do trackies to get the "speed need" out that they drop the speed/fine and attitude/lecturing.
Mind you I am over 40...

Fractured skulls and broken jaws dont help...

Falling out of the ugly tree and hitting every branch will do that

Thats why I got into bikes, it was the only legal way I could wear a helmet to cover my spud...
