I just spoke to Mick from Performance Bikes & Watercraft. He has bought Brighton Kawasaki outright and will be moving there from Monday, 3 July 2006
...sorta

an update....its official

I can report that after having a chat with Ken and his partner Christine this morning
...that the contracts for the sale of Brighton Kawasaki were signed this week with the sale effective Aug 1st
and
with Ken and Christine staying on until late September
to help the transfer of the business to Fiona and Mick Bubb.
All existing staff at BKwaka will be retained.

per my previous post when I asked the question ,Ken was not selling and there were several buyers
(inc A1 Motorcycles) chasing the business ..and they were not selling, but eventually you offer enuff
...anything is for sale

so Aug 1 ..BKwaka will have new owners
met them this morning...seem nice

also
between now and Aug 1 I will have a chat regarding
KSRC discounts and pricing ..with the new owners

cheers

as I posted previously, there was nothing to tell
although Ken had 3 purchasers chasing him
(one has been asking for more than 12 months)
but stick a large lump of $ up...anything is for sale
and nothing is final til the contract is signed

its obvious you never bought anything

or a discount

No i havent bought anything. Only becuase i asked about getting tyres and when i mentioned KSRC, the younger bloke said "who" and when he went to ask the owner, the owner said the same thing.

Other members have also been told that there are no discounts for KSRC members, only service.

At first there were no discounts, yes I mentioned KSRC and such. After 2-3 visits the discouts came automatic, even gave me stuff for free once. Maybe someone told them I was a distinguised member :? .

Top service, and I don't have complaints with the new owner, except that now I can't just drop in the bike (used to be in front of where I work)...

i once had to convince them that they were listed for a 10% discount to KSRC members... they were not too happy about it, but gave it to me any way :P
