Boots are at the shoe repair place as I type this, am picking them up at 5 and will be riding home in them, so will give a report then (if I get home in one piece that is, lol).

Colette, from the sounds of it you did a "i put the boots in to get xyz done, did i do something silly  :)" post, but it sounds a fair enough thing to ask, shame you didnt get to test the bit of wood theory first.

b.t.w. good luck, hope it works well for you.

Heels seem fine, didn't make a huge difference..am going to get the whole boot raised tomorrow and see how that goes.

Colette wrote:That has me worried now...are you talking about normal streetwear heeled boots though? What I meant was adding heels to my alpine star riding boots that I've worn for over 4 years (and still going strong :D)
I was wearing normal streetheeled boots with a thick heel. Just being my usual gumby self, really

Collette, have you decided if you are just adding heels, or soles to the whole boot?
Cheers,
Anne

Thanks Rob, yep home safely :)

Anne, I got heels done today but am going to get the soles done tomorrow, as I think that will make a bigger difference.

Update: got the sole and heel done and it has added a bit of height, without affecting being able to change gears, etc.

I have noticed that I can get a bit more of my foot down now (still not flat footing it, but anything is an improvement!)

It was worth doing all the same.
