I remember reading something about the 12s limiter. There is a 6 wire connector telling the ecu what gear you're in. If you join the 6th wire to the 5th the ecu doesn't drop the rpm the soft limiter comes in at beacuse it's being told your still in fifth.

honestly.
I dont think at any time i was on a ride with you, where we went over 140kmph.

Are you seriously going to use or go past 300kmph. I dont think so!!

trade it for a zzr600, you were only using under half the potential of your bike anyway....

Hence the market for speed healers etc
as rossi sez...
the 10, the 12 and apparently the 14 are all limited
done thru the ECU on the bikes

cheers
05 zx10r is resticted 1st,2nd,3rd,4th till 4500rpm (or something like that) and speed limited in 6th

so how do you get around it
ride in 5th does over 300k till you select 6th:)

Yeah, but... i dunno

and this is only my opinion mate! (so dont take it to heart! cos i dont mean to offend)

I now (since accident) wouldnt buy a superbike because I wouldnt use it, and wouldnt buy one to not use it except when i go to the track once or twice a year..

mate
no offence taken :D
its just that I think the road aint the place to be an idiot
too many uncontrollable factors...as you know
buy a fast bike..yep
it goes from zero to fast...quick
but if you wanna go faster, go to PI
a day there is cheaper than the fines or licence loss
and besides..its more fun

cheers
