Motorway riding is so painful i can't help some minor indescretions to enable bloodflow.

Motorways would be more interesting if they were not so heavily policed.
i hear ya! ive only seen a cop twice on this road and i rode up and down it pretty much daily for 12 months in 04 .. but ah well, they must be around, its the best way to get to the range .. had no choice really :(

but trackdays are where its at 8)

kishy its not worth the time and money, i cant afford lawyers etc.

I for one am all for clogging the Courts up with shit like this.
Do the time, do the crime.
Get busted by a DH with a bee in his bonnet (no sex, shit bike, no life, who knows?) and you GOT to fight it.
Maybe if he is sitting in court for 8 hours instead of getting to be a prick busting people for shit they didnt do he might think about it eh?
MAYBE if EVERYONE he tries his shit on takes him to Court over it, it might begin to stand out.

Merely by not fighting it you are admitting he was right and you cant ride for poo.
NExt time you get done for something similar there is a "history" for YOU instead of HIM....

I could not work out why a cop TRIED to do me for a a "undue noise" which I did NOT do. Then someone pointed out to me that 3 of these and they could confisticate my bike. SLY FUCKER !!!! (never thought of that at the time Aardy !!!)
It IS going to Court..... and I DO have witnesses.

Take it to Court dude, you have a witness and it is ONE against TWO.
MAYBE he already has a history of this type of shit. (espec the Qld Plate they just LOVE that in NSW).

Prepare for the fall out if you beat it and ever go to Mexico again but !!!!

Mate that sucks but maybe you should've said you were avoding something i.e. a rabbit.

My understanding is no one likes to watch a bike doing anything but straight line like a scooter.

When you were doing it were there any other vehicles around? ie were you posing a danger to other vehicles or yourself. If so then I think you've copped the rough end of the stick and there's probably not much you can do.

If you can substantiate however that what you were doing was deliberate and that you took into account your position on the road and that of other vehicles, and that you posed no danger then you might have a shot. You would probably also need to mount some case to show that what you were doing had a legitimate, safe purpose.ie practising your swerving/weaving (probably wouldn't go down well though)

The learner syllabus teaches you to move around in your lane to maintain space and visibility, but it is a slow, deliberate movement rather than a swerve so I don't know that that arguement will get you far.

Neg riding I would've thought was a bit harsh. If he claimed you crossed into his lane also why wouldn't he book you for changing lanes without indicating. If you took it any further you could raise this but then you could line yourself up for another fine.

I think unfortunately you just got a bloke who was having a shit day. Most cops would've probably told you to stop doing it a get on your way. Maybe write a letter and see how you go.

Cheers

edit - I think I just spent a couple of hundred words saying not much meaningful at all. Sorry if I rambled.

Well if you rode a piece of shit Honda overloaded to the gunnels with panniers, radios et al. you would think that anything other than carefully puttering around totally upright and paddling around corners is dangerous too !!!

This is why HD's dont wave, its not that they feel superior it is because they are not game to take their hands off the bars !!!

yeah glen there was no one around, aside from my mate who was in the right hand lane .. so if i swerved into that lane i would have hit him first.. his story was full of holes but as soon as i tried to say anything he would snap back with the DONT ARGUE! and i was a bit rattled by his attitude :S and he was saying he was in my blind spot the whole time .. i was next to my mate (we were riding in each lane next to each other cause there was no one around) so IF he was infact in my blind spot he would have been right up the arse of my mate which im sure he would have noticed.

also at first he said i was moving around in my lane then when i said what i was doing he made up the bit about going into his lane so i dont know wtf he was doing, either way whatever was going to happen we werent going to get away without a ticket (either me or my mate)

What I meant about a Qld plate in NSW is you have to go back to NSW to fight it and it will prob cost more to do that than just pay it.
That is what they are counting on.....
IF we ALL fought this sort of shit it would come to light (Ie we could prove it)
BUT no one does (I know I didnt either  )
I just paid the (NSW) fine.
I did send a letter to the NSW cops but was told "nanenanenana"
Well thats what it REALLY meant....

i have a court summons for april next year for not having an L plate displayed... cause it fell off, but the cop didn't care. and that was worthy enough to goto court, even tho its a $50 fine and no points.

all i can say is,

WANKER!
