you're right G-Force, Bills are expensive (not as bad as Boltons though), but I always do the ring around, get the best price I can and then go to Bills city(cause it is 100m from work) and say beat this and you get the sale. I haven't had a tyre fitted in SA* anywhere execpt Bills for over a year.

*Did have a set fitted last time I was in Vic due to wear issues.

thanks neka for your advice. went to the G&C down south and i mentioned your name and got a better discount. front and rear for gpr70s only $353. thats the best price in adelaide comparing it to a 380 at peter stevens.
now my only problem is that Richard told me to get a gpr100 for the rear instead coz it will last longer and wont square off.
does anyone here have a set of gpr100 on their bike? what are your thoughts of these tyres and are they good enough to go down low without sliding out.

I use to work at Bills...but i still get my tyres at GC...

mate..i trust richard..if u have seen this guy punt an RD around a race track...and considering he was a national champion on a shitbox BMW thing.... the guy can ride..and he knows tyres...

i still go on his recomendations....

yea your right neka. richard knows his stuff and is a very nice guy. i would not go anywhere else for tyres so this monday im getting a new set of gpr70s. i was going to get the gpr100 rear but i dont think i need to coz the gpr70s last me 9000kms. its not full squared (kind squared) yet too and i think thats due to my tyre pressure checks daily and also taking it easy.

shit.,...most of us get 4-5000km out of our tyres...greeny gets a lot less for sum reason...

its done 9500kms now for front and rear and no bull. i was going to get new tyres on monday but im broke as a mofo now so its gonna have to wait and plus the tyres are not fully squared.

this is what my tyre looks like after 9500kms. not bad i say but it is not nimble anymore

i went to GC on tues and got myself new tyres. i decided to go for both gpr70 front and rear coz i got 10,000km out of them before fully squaring off. Richard at GC is an awesome bloke and he will look after you if u go there.

i took it easy when going home but the next day i decided to try and wear them in close to the edges. today it gave me a fright coz i decided to go low and all i can say is fu%$. went around low on the left and it woobled and then low on the right with another wooble. felt like i was on ice abit. i kept doing until it stopped woobling. got around 5mm left on each side so gonna try and scrap that down to 2mm tonight. only done 50kms since i got them. i know i am being stupid for going low with new tyres but its the only way i can scrub them in.

another good place hanby's at marion trade centre he has been there for a hundred years or so and was also a racer in his day. and like any good old bloke very well priced when paying with cash!! gc's are good down south as they usually have specials on sets they get in bulk.
