The 05 zx6r is much better in the flesh than in piccies, wouldn't mind a red one as a track weapon
They've got all the fruit> slipper clutch, exup v/v in the exhaust, radial master cylinder, six spoke wheels... drool.

I must admit it looks less crap in that pic, though that stupid number plate/indicator bracket has to go!

I like the colours but I agree with most people, they should stick with a side exhaust...

from lookin at the pics of the version with flush mounted front indicators, the rear indicators aren't on such huge stalks on that version which goes a long way to improving the back .... a hacksaw will do the rest. It would be better without the underseat exhaust, but a charcoal 6r is still my dream bike

Just pulled this off Bikepoint
133 horse claim for Kawa 636
Kawasaki has released full specs of its 2005 ZX-6R road bike, which claims a hair-raising 136ps (metric horses, or around 133bhp) with full ram-air effect at a screaming 14,000rpm. Torque is a claimed 7.5Nm at 11,000rpm.
The figure drops to a more modest 130ps at 13,000 without ram-air. In any case the claims put the 636cc machine at the top of the 600 class heap.
Claims for its rivals are: GSX-R600 - 120bhp, CBR600RR - 126, R6 - 115 and Daytona 650 - 112.
The ZX-6R runs a heady 12.9:1 compression ratio, runs an underseat muffler for the first time, and has a claimed dry weight of 164kg.
Interestingly the equivalent performance figures for the homologated race replica, the 599cc ZX-6RR are not on the web.

Also had a look at the Kawasaki.com site and their RRP is $8599 US
Which equates to roughly if our dollar is worth 0.75c is $11465, so probably about $13500. Any thoughts?
No and am not looking to buy another one am truly happy with the new beast!!!

who mentioned cbr600???
looking at the Kwika and the Hoonda
you'd reckon the two designers went and played with crayons at the
same kindergarden......
our says Ninja..theirs says CBR
theirs has shorter indicators....
the bikes are getting too similar.....
why aren't Kawasaki flogging the extra 36cc as a big selling feature?

yeah ..typical Hoonda 'sporty' colour scheme
but
its the design similarities that worry me
Studio Japaneze....
