i got a pm asking how the tank came off well gather around kids let me tell u a story.........
unfortunately this is the result of pushing cold tyres to hard. mallala has a long left hander around the back of the track and on the 1st lap of the race when i changed from 3rd to 4th (flat throttle) i lost the back end. as i was hanging off the let hand side of the bike at this time i thought this is going to be one big mutha of a high side!! fortunately it didnt but rather started a tank slapper from hell, it tossed me off the right hand side on to my shoulder initually ( busted up collar bone, 2 places) before tumbling into the infield. the then did some cartwheeling, rolling and in the process ripped the tank off which on a vid of the crash goes about 30 feet up and 60 feet past where the bike stops. carbies also dislodge and topend recieves a lung full dirt for its troubles...
the end...questions?????
