Gos said it .. just get a workshop manual,it's all you need, and follow it methodically (slowly at first). Pull things apart. Put them back together again and follow the step by step. It's a lot to do with recognising the parts.
When you get to the point where it says to do something that doesn't make sense then ask someone (like post here).
Over the years you will go from lotsa asking to lotsa savings

I would suggest to get it going first
Most manuals have a diagnosis walk through in the front of the manual
1.To identify the primary problem
2.If its running you can highlight other areas that need attention and you can focus on this without wasting time or money
3.There is nothing worse than did I put it back together correctly as you didn't know what the original problem was and may have caused other problems
Try a couple of the Honda sites for workshop manuals to download or you can access the council library here for an on line search and reserve the books you need

Hope this helps

Mick, is that the email from yousendit? When did you upload it? Haven't got anything yet.
I found and downloaded the workshop manual for the bike, so that is a good start, and this will help even more!

Bugger you Mick. I had four goes at downloading that file and just got it successfully early this afternoon.

If I'd known it was the same one you had...
BTW yousendit files only last for 7 days or 100 downloads.
