Of course, if you'd be interested, and we could perhaps get enough interest, I may be able to offer a group buy.

I have been keeping it pretty quiet, but I have done a lot of work over the last 8 or 9 months getting us set up for importing motorcycle apparel jackets, pants, gloves (among other things). My first order has already been made, and is due for arrival next month. I only have textiles coming in this time, as that is what my customers at the moment have ordered.

However if there is enough interest, I would be more than happy to offer a group buy. The only real caveat is that we would probably have to limit the styles and colour choices, as it is cheaper to get a run than dribs and drabs.

Pricing? Not yet. I have made some pretty good guestimatical calculations, but I'll know how accurate those are once my first order arrives. Hopefully I have slightly over-guestimated and wont go broke :) But seeing as I am wholesaling, and trying to get some product out there, you can probably expect it will be good. :)

Felix- wow sounds interesting...will leathers be part of the gig?? is it a brand name or a non brand name?? reason i ask is, i figure if i pay $1200 and get 8 years (again) out of leathers, well its $150 a year which is good value... i probably will go for a suit, gives me more options..2 piece of course...

Yes.

And you can have perforated or non-perforated. I can tell you the perforated leather is as basically as cool as wearing a textile vented jacket. I have worn it on some very hot days and it is great. :)

I have also worn the textile touring jacket in a fairly decent storm just a couple of weeks ago when we went to the Bunya Mtns, and it is actually waterproof like it is supposed to be :)

Anyhow, seeing as the topic was leathers - then that's what we'll look at doing the group buy on.

It will be sold under our own name, as there are other things we are looking at doing in the future as well...

so next question...without sounding like a knob, if were doin a group buy do they do custom colours/lettering??

like if say 15 ppl wanted green & black with a ksrc logo on the back could it be done??

just curious...

Yes.

Although it will be more expensive the fewer we get. Small runs are always dearer. Don't know exactly how much it would cost to get the logo done - depends on sizing, colours, etc. Lettering may work out cheaper overall.

Just getting a colour combo shouldn't be too much drama - so long as everyone wants the same :)

Make me an offer for my old Teknic suit. It's like bloody new and noone bit at $500 so I'm happy to punt them for whatever. It'd help if you were 6'1 ish though they are a bit big for me.

As Hoffy said though, my Collins are brilliant. I've had a few sets of leathers and value wise nothing comes close I reckon
