back in 2002, the average cost of fuel here was about 85-90c per litre, which was about $3.20AUS, or about $2.40US per gallon.....

It is now expected to hit $1.50AUS per litre shortly, which is closer to $5.60AUS per gallon, or $4.80US per gallon.....

so inside 5 years, the cost has almost doubled..........the oil companies are making double the profits.........its a fuckin' joke.

One of the dills at work said to me "Yeh, but how much do you pay for a litre of Coke ??" - I said you don't buy 60 or 70 litres of Coke every week to fill up on , and if you did, well it would cost maybe 40c per litre instead of $2.50.........its such a lame argument that one.....

At least LPG is still less than 60c per litre, so the reality of driving the old VN dunneydore on LPG is that the cook is only paying mid-80's price for juice.....

In order to quantify the costs here how about expressing your weekly petrol bill as a percentage of your weekly income,mine costs me 5-6% of what I get,the rest goes on booze,bikes and dope,anything left over I waste.

my fiancé works for an oil company...he knows when shit is going to go up/down before most others...I'm not surprised if we don't go up to $4.00 or $5.00 by mid/end summer....ugh....can we go live on the moon yet?!!?
