Excellent - I would love to know if these things actually make any difference at all. I know that the PCIII fitted to my 05 12R has made a difference, as has the good Yoshi system. But a TRE ? just unsure if they actually do jack.
Keep us posted mate.

He is probably referring to the A-model 12's. Otherwise referred to as the *unrestricted* models. These don't have any timing issues like the later ones, the 'B' models......the B-model 12's are definitely restricted in the lower gears, and have a top-speed restrictor to 299kmh as well.

05/6 10's and 12's hit 295km then creep to a max of 299km/hr. With or without TRE, speedo healer ,USBIII etc..(My 10 and a mates 12 have these fitted)
Why would you possibly want more anyway????
Anyone can ride fast in a straight line!!

i have a tre on my 10r (06) the bike oftern reads 299 at PI but will not go past this, even though it hits it mid way down the straight and is still pulling for another 2000 rpm.

I am led to believe that the TRE will not actually change the reading of the speedo? - The only way to test this is with a GPS or an accurate radar. Speedo readings are not 100% accurate anyway - at 300km, only a 5% error means you may only be doing an actual speed of 285kmh....and they always read fast, not the other way around

(and speedo error can be higher than 5% as well.......)
Radar or GPS is the only way a true measurement of top speed can be determined.
