I was just thinking..............how about spring loaded double armco.......or shock pads behind it..........could pass it off as protection for car drivers....reduced shock in an accident..........much better for cagers ;)

Firstly, I'd like to see an on road segment to the licencing test. How can you expect someone to ride away with a licience when they have never ridden a bike on the road?

A similar licience restriction as to the UK where there is a medium licence. Ls upto 12hp no more than 125, first 2 years any CC no more than 33hp then un restricted. Helps stop people with more ambition than ability jumping on a world class superbike and becoming another statistic.

A campaign to reduce tailgating. It's bad enough in a car, but tailgating a biker is close to manslaughter.

Sensible lane splitting laws.

Might have some more constructive ones later

There's many things for road design that can be done, but budgets will always have the final say.

There are many types of stone size for hot mix and spray seal roads, each has a different affect (grip, road noise, type of surface laid on etc).

You will rarely see a hot mix road out woop woop, it's just too expensive and not always possible logistically.

Spray seals should just be illegal for any well trafficked road, they don't last, too many loose stones and shithouse grip.

There should be a international/national standard for hotmix composition, there will always be compromises of course but we humans have had metalled roads now for a long time so there has to be a good solution out there somewhere.

As i suspected a large cross section of good ideas from surprisingly road technology clued up riders, and a fair amount of humour thrown in for good measure. :D
Ask the same questions of a car drivers and you end to get a far less informed set of responses. Each and every idea is going down on paper to be sent for appraisal. I just wanted to say a huge thanks to all the people who have responded to this, its been amazing some of the suggestions we have gotten!
The airbags one has been printed out and has gone on the wall btw hehehe

My deepest thanks. :D :D :D

after you submit these ideas, do you get any form of feedback?
