oh yeah gos i noted it above, i went and picked up the bike today and had a good chat with him about it tho.
Aprently on the carbs they have vacumn lines running onto them and 1 had slipped off due to a shit peice of hose being placed on there, so he fixed her all up, balanced up the carbs bit of a slight tune bit of a clean out, replaced air filter. Bike now runs like a dream, it ran well when i got it but now its like brand new! very pleased!
Glad you got it fixed up. 3 cylinder 9's are buckets of crap to ride.
I had a similar problem after washing mine once. I had accidently sprayed water in across the top of the head through the fairing, well it wasnt a spray, more like a light flood. Anyway the water ran down the left spark plug tube, and because I didn't take the bike for a good run afterwards the water didnt evaporate out and then caused the top of the spark plug to corrode and of course the terminal in the end of the plug tube. I got a second hand tube from a wrecker and a new plug, put it all together and it was like new.
I had originally thought it was stale fuel as the bike had been sitting for about a month and i decided to go for a Mac Pass ride with some mates and thought some fresh fuel would fix it up......120km to a tank was a deadset giveaway that it wasnt stale fuel
I've learnt my lesson now...don't wash the bike
