Well this is what happen, Went for a test ride striaght after ridding the 2008 CBR1000 to see which felt better obviously the 10 did for me.
Ask them whats the price and they told me $18,990 + O. R. which came to $20,500 I said is that the best you can do? and he said we will look after you!
I said to him if you come with a good price I wont go over seas! if the price is right! waiting....... so what the price? well you have to give us a deposit before we start. In my eyes im not giving anyone money till I know the price?
Mind you I gave them a second chance by saying you give me a price so I can think it over the weekend and he said he will talk to his boss and get back to me!
Never heard a word! and I got the price I wanted else where anyway over the phone that afternoon.
hence did the most of the papper work on Monday and picking it up on Thursday

Just to share my experience when I tried to buy a ZX12R at Parra..
Me: I saw an add for run-out 12's in this months AMCN magazine
Them: I dont know what you mean, they are $18,999 + on-roads
Me: Well I saw the add, anyhow, whats your price ?
Them: Our price is $18,999 + on-roads, but if your serious we can do you a deal
Me: Ok then, whats the deal ?
Them: well we need a deposit to start talking price
Me: Well, I dont give deposits until I know what the price is
Them: Well if your serious, you'll give us a deposit
Me: Well, how can I be serious if I dont know how much the farkin' bike is
Them: Look these bikes are popular, if you want one you'll have to get in quick
Me: Jam it up your ass......sideways !
-----------------------
But the good news - Went to Narellan, he had a sign on the counter "ZX12R run out special - $16,000 on road"
Me: Is that deal still on
Narellan: Yup
Me: whats you bank account details and Ill have the money deposited into you account within 2 days
Narellan: Great, Ill get your bike ready
Me: Cheers

they tried the exact same thing to me when I brought my 07 10r last year (same place, same lines, different owner.)
I stood my ground and ended up getting test plus awesome price then renegiotated again all before I laid down the cash.
I am also interested in the price you got, as I will be shopping for the new 10 in a couple of weeks time. A PM would be appreciated so I have a bit more knowledge of what I am looking at.
thanks mate
P.S. I promise I wont get the orange
