Saw this thread, and thought I might throw in my ten cents ...

I bought a Tissott November 2005. Loved it to bits.

About three weeks ago, she started losing time and stopping occasionally .... I thought ok, new battery ... that was fine. Took it to the shop ,check battery, battery fine.

The thing is still in the shop and quoted at $180 for clean up and new circuit board ...(thats over 5 days ago now)

They come with 2 years warranty

Still without watch and spewin that a $500 + watch fucks up just 6 months after warranty. (Hoping Tissott will be reading this thread and seems as though they were the official timer of the moto GP when I bought the thing .. even included a nice little brochure of their accomplishments to rub it in)

Anyway .. had a Citizen prior to ... beauitifully made and last heaps. It died after 11 years and two batteries. Nice innings.

Ex got me a pierre Cardin watch, fricking nice little watch that, just haven't botheed replacing the battery since it went flat.

Speaking of which, I need to replace the batteries in a couple of watches, inc a fob watch Michelle gave me.

I just received a free watch from Aprillia for test riding a RSV1000R. The watch is what you would expect for free but it works and tells the time. My normal, watch is a Citizen chronograph. The ones that don't need batteries. Its a great watch and not to chunky. I don't like the really big watches.
I also have an old watch that was my grandfathers retirement gift back in 1979. I can't remember the name but it is Swiss made and does not miss a beat.

I don't own a watch. No need for one.............Being in tune with nature enables me to know the time, day or night, to within a couple of minutes.
