Jezas Just got off the phone from Mick at MTM, these bloody tyres are a complicated bit of gear. Tells me both my bikes have conflicting tyre configuration    . Apparantly its all about carcass construction: number of belts, types of belts, processes used to make the damn things.
I thought if i used the same tyre brand n model type eg "Battlax" or "Pilots" id be in the clear apparantly I was wrong, back to school for me.
On a bright note he did bag the Pilot powers (too papery ???) n did rate the Battlax 014. Its always a good sign when they are selling you something that they have to order in so Fzr6 will have new hoops for Darlington Park this weekend :D
Cheers Brett
Now where did i put that acitone ?.

Chris I was gunna take the "Tiggr" cause he does make me look better then i am. But decided I'm too old to be so bloody immature to risk throwing 16k down the toilet. Only good thing about these days being put back is that it'll give me more time to run the new Battlax's in.
Cheers Brett

what sort of difference would a 110/80 or a 110/70 make to the handling?

what ya got on currently RG?

i was hoping to put bt39's on mine, but brighton kwaka dont have em listed so might go the bt92 ... too bloody hard to decide on a tyre
I'm not familiar with rubbers so not too sure about the 110/80, but I'll definately try to find out more.
I've got Dunlop Arrowmax on now.
Very old and sucky. It's becoming a safety issue to me, so I'll have to change them ASAP.

Bit long sorry .......

Got young Mick from MTM to supply n fit a pair of tyres to the Fzr6 today.
I asked for Battlax 010 front 014 rear. Well be buggered if i now dont have a Battlax 014r(kevlar single belt) rear n Pilot Powers front(not sure of its construction)
He reckons I've got the best of both worlds n said it will handle like a peach. He said the Pilots arent that good on the rear cause they arent Race Technology wtf ?. Everybody is trending back to the Battlax for better handling at higher corner speeds. WTF  more confused now then i was a month ago.
Anyway mother nature did her best to Mess with me Head by tossing down some wet stuff for my ride home on Alcohol cleaned tyres. I MUCH Prefer the diegrinded tyres trip home last tyre fitment at a different Shop.
Thing wants to fall into corners now but the rear is a wider tyre then i had 150 instead of 140.
Watch this space for what lets go first on the Braking n cornering course.
Cheers Brett

What so you had a 140 and he fitted a 150 I dont think it will be a whole lot diferent tip in wise, at least you are race tuned now and you will have to look out for the lovely and talented janele going past you on rides as well.

Did i spell that right?

I replaced my rear Diablo for a Pilot Power... F'ing awesome..

done about 1,500K's on it already since i got it on the 10/1... The handling has improved imensly.. Can't wait for the Track day to get a better comparison over the Diablo's but at this point, I know what my next set of tyres will be...
