two ways to get rid of it, right click on tool bars arear and deselect it from the options available.

or go into uninstall programs in control panel and uninstall the program/toolbar.

easy.

you can also de-activate the live security and just do a scan every now and then, as it scans everything Live and can slow you down.

ur using vista, just re install, it wont format and it clears out your registry and such,

Then...USE FIREFOX!!!!! IE7 is Shite, it opens more ports than it needs to, and allows websites to run quiet installs if the designer of the site knows what he is doing.

and last of all, get a descent anti virus program, Spybot is good, and free, and there are plenty of sites who will rate programs, google it

Don't want to reinstall if I can help it, Vista Ultimate isnt lets say a 'gen copy' and the 'mate' that sorted it for me isn't around any more.
I have considered dumping I.E for another browser, seems like Firefox is the go, freebee??
Kaspersky Internet Security has served me really well for the last couple of years, excellent program, updates itself etc etc butttt..... let a problem through now :(

Not so easy Hoffmeister, don't you think I would have already tried that :? I have removed most of the shite from registry, just gotta get rid of that annoying fucking toolbar, can't pick it from anywhere

one word for you, torrent, there are plenty of vista torrents out there, and some even have a 20min unattended install so you kick it off and walk away.

kapersky is crap, and they stopped doing proper updates on the free version about 4 months ago, get spybot, its free, and good. Firefox is free
see: http://www.getfirefox.com

and if you run a spybot scan, it will probably pick up your toolbar problem

Download the Toolbar remover from here:

http://www.pcontech.com/Security-Toolbar-remove.htm

I used to use AVG but found it lacking on more than one occassion. I always recommend Avast Antivirus. http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

Not that I use it.... :) I personally prefer ESET NOD32. But that isn't free.

When you say Mac, do you mean a proper Mac, with one button on the mouse because their customers were too stupid to use more than one?
Or do you mean a PC with an Apple logo on the front running that shitty O/S that only Mac users think is so intuative?
