There's a tutorial on doing wheelies on this site somewhere, I read it ages ago but still don't have the balls. It's not all about gearing you have to have the balls and the technique unless you have a bajillion kilowatts.

Dave its easy to wheelie, you just have to start small and progress with experience.....
Its possible to wheelie anything....
Just dont do whats in the 3rd pic....

haha, yer with more useable torque it will be easier, just start slow you dont have to pull 100mtr 45 degree wheelies straight off the bat, just start with little by little till you get used to the front wheel leaving the ground.
i started by doing it accidentally, i went over a hill that went up (yes you guess it) the down pretty quickly and as i got to the top the fronts gone in the air,,,, so i done this a couple of times then slowly started doing it on flat ground, im no wheelie king and i dont do them often and i cant even pull off a good one, although when i want to i can get the front off for a bit

but to scared to go more as i have seen some funny videos, youtube, haha.
