You just don't know, when ya pick things up that are getting long in the tooth, bit of a pissa but a good excuse to rebuild the motor and check everything
Good luck dude

Re: ZX6-R rebuild
It went like this "funny noise-smoke-no power" so we think either no2 big end bearing went or it just stretched the rod anyway it was going great until then the supension is just about right the avon tyres seem to be worth the money and the brakes worked a treat.Damon ZX9R wrote:Fark bet it was interesting when that shit itself![]()

Re: ZX6-R rebuild
Whilst we're dealing with the engine rebuild i decided to get busy and clean up a few things and powdercoat some stuff aswell while its in bits

while i had the shock apart to do the spring i noticed something wasn't quite right

This is truely the bike that keeps on giving its just a shame its giving me the ball ache

Re: ZX6-R rebuild
While the motors in bits (got some pistons on ebay just looking for crank and rods now) i really ripped into the bike and stripped it right down and powdercoated the frame and spare swing arm (the one that was on the bike had a dirty great big crack in the weld around the axle block
) and a few other bits reassembled it today with a shock from ebay i think its a 7r unit as the spring is a slightly larger diameter.
