If your neck bends back far enough for your helmet to hit the hump your neck is ratshit anyway....... the only advantage I can see is that the hump may assist in keeping your head up when your sliding on on the bitumen on your arse...............
May also be good for fluid storage, I heard some big hairy beast uses a hump for this........

got my jacket last year at the bike show@ hombush. they didnt have the pants so the jrays leather pants work well. Both did pretty good on a 60k lowside.

The only benefit I can see is keeping your head up in an arse slide off and perhaps some whiplash reduction. I can't see how it could be aerodynamic, It would need to be reversed to be aerodynamic. Like a nose cone on a truck roof. the pointy bit needs to face the other way.
With a hump on your neck the wind would travel around your helmet and then hit a flat spot causing drag.
What you need is a one piece helmet and hump...... not a separate helmet and hump........
something like this would work.
