Love Vista, been running this copy for 3 years with Kaspersky as security, routine maintenance, defrag etc. Runs and operates Solidworks and Edrawings, all the net surfing etc.
Centrino Duo, top end graphics etc etc 17" lcd. Paid $3600 for it new, they go for around $500 second hand on Ebay now

this is what happens with tech so be careful not to spend up big if you don't really need to.
Toshiba has been fantastic.
Enjoy the search.

hahaha well said indeed.
Nothing worse then trying to fix a Macintosh that's broken. Besides as much as everyone loves to go on about how Microsoft stole alot of its ideas from Mac (I can't deny that.... grumble grumble new Windows 7 interface). But considering Macintosh literally is not a Macintosh OS anymore... look under the hood it is a Linux (or Unix) Kernel

Atleast MS actually build the OS themselves.

Windas, nothing worth having since DOS...
yeah well 95A, ME, Vista have all been spectacular failures. W7 looks ok so far, but as usual ya just havta wait until SP1, as a business you just wouldn't do it from XP

actually they didnt..........
the original DOS was a pinched CPM (Bill gates got rich by pinching something

)
and what we have today (Vista and Server 2007) is from the kernel of NT
...which was Unix based

Of course MS didn't build DOS that is very well known.
Windows 2000 whilst was built of the NT Kernel, it was reprogrammed line by line every new version had a reprogram, so essentially the code for the OS is entirely knew.
But we have definently side tracked from the original post lol

funny you say without the hacks :p I had to do more hacking on 7 then I did on Vista. For anyone who likes the Quick Launch bar in XP/Vista, well to get it back you have to create it yourself manually.

oh? i thought the idea of the icons sitting on the taskbar at the bottom was so that you didn't NEED to use a quicklaunch bar. Oh well. Haven't looked at the commercial version of 7 yet. Might get around tuit and see how she fires up.
