The 06/07's we call Gumbys because they're like...well .... a bit Gumby. Some love the look of them but a lot don't.Dealcloser wrote:Well thats a bit about me! I just got the bike and im waiting for the papers from the guy i bought it from. This country has some real dodgy characters so who knows it prob is a 05! I honestly wouldnt know the difference! Even if it is i got the bike for a bargain of note! I paid R40 000 SA Rands.
When i rode yesterday for the first time on a long ride i felt that the bike lifted every time i changed up while giving it huge gas! Scary stuff but boy what a rush!
hahahahaha the South Ausies must be like the the boys in the South of Johannesburg! whats with the South??? Even the Americans have the "special" people living in the South!
Why do you say ill get locked up with a Crim?

Re: Newbie from South Africa
I ride dirt with a guy from Australia! Its interesting to know that he says Ausie Rules and rugby league is bigger than rugby! Is this true? SA is tiny compared to most other countries. The state of Texas is bigger than SA! Im not a huge rugby fan but its all around us 24/7 just like cricket! now thats one sport i cant stand! I watch the MotoGP and WSBK! I watched the race yesterday! This weekend the WSBK is at our track Kyalami! I cant wait!fireyrob wrote:No mirrors, numberplate down under the seat somewhere? Its also a 04 or 05 zx10 isn't it?
Not many Rugby fans around here mate. I used to play and think the last 10 years has turned the game into a farce with all its rules etc even I dont understand it anymore and I was a referee up until 2 years ago. Get into motoGP and WSBK, much more interesting
FUCK the world cup soccer BRING ON THE SUPERBIKES!!!! whooooooo hooooooo!!!

Re: Newbie from South Africa
Oh and NOBODY has number plates here Joburg unless you are on a cruiser, tourer or scooter! ALL the boys on super bikes leave them off! The cops hardly pull us over as we ride mostly over the weekends and cops are nowhere to be seen and even if they were around we just run!fireyrob wrote:No mirrors, numberplate down under the seat somewhere? Its also a 04 or 05 zx10 isn't it?

They will NEVER catch us! I dont think the ninja's know how to use the 2 way radios in the cop cars to do a road block!

Re: Newbie from South Africa
As a general summary, New South Wales and Queensland are more Rugby League and Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia more Aussie Rules. Soccer (football) is getting more popular here now though and Rugby Union is fairly popular but not as much as the other three codes. Its losing momentum in Australia (in my opinion) due to the rules. Cricket is our summer sport and is everywhere. I like it because it means 8-10 hours drinking beers in the hot sun not watching anything... Apart from that most of us all love our motor racing

Re: Newbie from South Africa
Hahahahahahaha, the tv reply showed a different story! It was fair! The Lions are my home town team but the Bulls are from Pretoria but thats only about a 40km drive. The Lions SUCK donkeys balls so i dont support any teams! Even the Western Force gave them a hiding!ducati_paul wrote:If they keep getting the ref giving them tries off forward passes like that one on Saturday how can they lose?Dealcloser wrote: Sleep well my wallabie friends! whats that i hear??? oh its the sound of the Bulls winning the Super 14! hahahaha

From just watching TV any South African would think that rugby was as huge as rugby is here in SA! People live, eat and sleep rugby! Mostly the real rockspider dutchman (They are the afrikaans people in our country) Id get smacked if one of them saw what i just wrote! hahahahahaha even my fiance' she is also dutchman but thank goodness she speaks english to me and she doesnt have the annoying afrikaans acent!fireyrob wrote:As a general summary, New South Wales and Queensland are more Rugby League and Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia more Aussie Rules.
