I have had this problem before, I worked at a swimming pool in the west of Sydney and used to park my bike up against the wall and out of the way outside the centre. The children were climbing on my bike, parents did fck all to stop them, I told one kid that if the bike was hot he would have burn his feet off climbing up via the yoshi, anyway, very fkn annoying

PS climbing on the mum is fair call...

Both mother and snot gobbler shat themselves when that bike arced up, farking priceless

Fucking Brilliant :   ...would have got a few hits on the tube if that had been uploaded..

I've been known to let out some righteous anger when I've seen that happen. Left quite a few people suitably chastened and apologetic, and the few who arced up in response were verbally demolished. I hate it when people don't respect other people's stuff or space. Yeah, I won't escalate it to a physical confrontation, but when I get the angries, apparently other people aren't sure that I won't

My old bike rarely got parked out of sight due to this sort of shit. Didn't these people learn "Look, but don't touch" and "Ask"???

It's probably because I have always owned old shitboxes, but I've never had people sit on my bike. I think if I did catch one, i'd most likely just politely ask them to get off carefully and as long as they hadn't damaged it, would just explain the potential to cause a significant amount of damage without actually intending to. Now, if that was met with resistance, then I would just escalate things ;)

If I returned to my bike to find some one sitting on it I would eat there f&%king face off there head. you wouldn't walk up and sit in a strangers car and to me this is the same.

What burn's me the most is they start take pics like they own my bike while trying so hard to take the bike out of the lock using nothing but brute force. When confronted they shit them selves why the fuck would you sit on a bike that isn't yours?. You don't see me going about fucking your girl or your mom so why sit on other people's baby. Its understandable if you know the person but just cause you see a good looking bike does not mean you sit on it trying to break it while taking pics to make your self look cool.

Maybe i am just getting pissed of easily? considering all these bike thefts lately share your views and let me know how you deal with people in this situation.
Mate if anyone just started to sit on my bike i would tell them to "get the fuck off it",i hate self centered f+cks that think they can do without consulting with the owner, that can turn into an assault ,its just like "well to me "jumping into someones car!!

Honestly thinking of buying a sticker some what like this
http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=touch ... 3,s:0,i:75

or

http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=touch ... =189&ty=36

Now i'll admit my bike isn't flash or anything like according to everyone elses standards, but it's grown on me like it is a living family member. I know it sounds wierd's but meh. I'll defend it like it was an extension of my body.

Anyway's just to confirm. I was in the forensic law lecture. The lecturer being a practioner of law for a good 19 year's. I asked him hypothetically if one was allowed to send someone to hospital if they did, what i explained in the post above (since the topic was on selfdefence & protection of your property). He said it would be alright if he did not comply as you can defend your property if you think someone is about to steal it, long as you don't go over board as to disfiguring his face. Turn's out the lecturer understood what i was talking about since he ride's too, a harley.... but that still counts i guess. In the end he did pull me to the side at the end of the lec to tell me "don't go down the violent path as with these days crim's sueing you is not really surprising to see. Your at a loss.

It must be a Sydney thing as I've never seen it happen. :? If it did, I wouldn't be very happy and would have to discourage them from thinking it was ok to do it ever again.

I have parked bikes in a number of schools including Airds High School and the kids have always been respectful enough to look and admire, but never touch. I am astounded that this sort of stuff happens regularly as the audacity and arrogance it would take for someone to assume it's their right to sit on another person's property must be off the charts.
