Thanks HBB, much appreciated. Just found a Japanese repro loom selling in the Us for USD 110, but as you say it won't hurt to give him a call.

Thanks guys, useful links but I've found a cheap US source of Japanese repro stuff :

They also have sets of painted bodywork, might have to raid the piggybank ...
