Done. Well one fork at least anyway.

Now the next issue. This model has air forks but it looks like the previous owner has removed the o rings inside the balance chamber so I don't think it will be air forking any more. I'm gunna put o rings back in and see how they work.
Everyone I knew back then used to blow the shit out of them by pumping them up with the servo pump. Not too many read instructions. I think it is supposed to be 8.5-13 psi.
Has anyone had any experience with these forks with and without air?

I know some punters who have blocked up the air holes with a spot of weld or aluminium putty. I recently took the air-caps off the forks on my 650 and just used a 1" spacer to give the forks a bit more pre-load in place of air pressure.

The good thing about pre-load spacers is that you can fiddle with the spacer height to get exactly the fork response you want.
