Everything I have read to date the common theme is to record your changes! Big thing, do one change at a time and whalla, well no not really but it certainly helps with sorting out your personal settings aye! Every new setting which can be many during a day can get ya confussed, having just been recently confussed myelf and loosing my piece of paper and nearly having my setup near on right I had to go back to manufactures settings and start again. Farkin - fark - farkin - fark, but anyway its all a learning curve and all becomes clearer the more you read and learn, try and reset then record.

one of the hard things with those magazine settings is some start from full out andsome from full in so you never know where you are going and what the 1/2 click yoi just put on there actually did.

If you start at full out then everything you do stiffens it and if you go 4 clicks at a time you will definitly know what that screw is doing.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

I do not go by their settings for a particular bike, more so the reasoning for changing the settings, I go 2 clicks at a time and start from the mid' range. Record it, change it, if i have to go back. It can get ya severly fugged up if you think to much about it and get lost in trying to remember everything you have done.
