Know the feeling.
I live 10 minutes from Macquarie Pass and now with daylight saving it is not uncommon to get home from work, suit up, then do the Mac Pass through to Kangaroo Valley and return run (sometimes go ahead to Bomaderry and back).
EDIT: Or failing the Mac Pass to Kangaroo Valley, I can always go through Jamberoo to Kiama and onwards to the bends. God I enjoy living here.
Often the best rides are those which are done on the spur of the moment and whilst alone.
I have often found myself doing these type of runs and having to stop to try to get the adrenaline levels back after what has been one of those pure nirvana rides.
