Just a suggestion, the 120/70 is a nicer tyre to use than a 120/65 IMHO. Especially on the road. Having more side wall, gives it a little softer feel through the bars and tends to absorb some of the nastier bumps while cranked over. If your worried about slowing the steering too much, just drop the forks thru the triple clamps @ 5mm and that will balance it out.thewonderer wrote:Barrabob, thanx for the heads up on that!! Can you give me the company name/number so I can get the low down...
Many thanx
Martin
I used 70's on the 05.636 I had, and didn't even bother adjusting the front ride height in the end. It steered a little slower full lean to full lean, but once on it's side held a nice tight line.
Oh and the Metzler Rennsports are a good thing too, which can be had at reasonable money from some dealers ATM. I paid $450 for a set.

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

quick question mate - haven't they replaced the Rennsports with the new Racetech's ?? I am sure I have seen some reference to that in one of the bike mags ??Strika wrote:...Oh and the Metzler Rennsports are a good thing too, which can be had at reasonable money from some dealers ATM. Thanx for the number Bear.
I gave the place a call today and the prices for the bridgestone bt014 were ace as well as the michilen powers!! They said they don't have any more bt-014s (180/55) as they are waiting for the bt015s
They said you can even ride in on Saturday to get them fitted... but from the sounds of it, i better bring at least a 6 pack as Mick likes to have a good chin wag!
Thanx for all your help...
Just a quick heads up, I was up mt glorious at the cafe there 2 weeks back, coppa decided he was bored waiting for speeding bikes to go by, as we don't do that kind of thing!
and he starts pulling all the bikes over and doing them for dodgy licence plate holders (70 + 1 point). Watch out!

Makes you wonder why we even bother fitting number plates
anyway theres a meeting with the powers that be on the 25th i think and they can try to explain to me how the shorter mudflap contributes to the roadtoll.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
