chuffed wrote:Heaps of long straights around here, even blokes coming back in from the mines in cars been clocked at over 200. Anywhere near the limiter and you better hope the roads straight, ever tried changing direction at that speed

Watching things like ghostrider its surprising to see him weaving through traffic at 260+.
On three occasions trying to get to the limiter i've had wind buffeting, shaking your head ever so slightly, but blurrs your vision making it necesary to button off. I always think of someone who once told me that at 300 you cover 3 football fields in a sec. not sure how accurate that is but its something always in the back of my head.
If a sprinter is in the starting crouch 3 metres for the goal line and starts when you enter the field - You
will beat him across the line

Too true chuffed, all that mine money buys some hot HSV's eh?
And dont they think they are just the fastest thing out there too
For "controlled conditions" try the old Peak Downs highway (running beside the new one) between Nebo and Coppabella near an old cattle siding (???) I think, been a while. Wound the 12 off the clock there.
BUT do a run over the area first to check for sticks, and road condition etc FIRST
That road (as does the highway) makes a bike very flighty, 300k monos might not last long but they go an awful long way. You would think the front stopping its constant wiggle would feel good eh
