Hey guys, I'm still kicking :)

I'm just glad I came out of it with just a broken collarbone, coulda been a lot worse!

Think I shall invest in a braking and cornering course before hitting the mountains again.

Expensive and painful lesson learnt! Was still working out the corners and that one just decieved me I guess, hit it a little too fast for my ability and panicced and hit the brakes, if it was a 2 lane it woulda been fine, but alas theres a metre sloped embankment between the lanes and i went for a bit of a fly and bounce.

Bike landed on the front wheel then cartwheeled forwards bucking me off forwards flipping me over.

The bike looks okay and is rideable, but im a lil concerned about the forks or frame bending. How can i get this checked out? Also what about replacement fairings? Where can you get them? Wreckers or new? The left side looks repairable no probs but the right is pretty scarred.

Jeez Chikin, you sure did a number on her.

Just out of interest, it seems from the link here that you were wearing a DriRider vented jacket ? How did it (and more importantly you underneath / inside it) hold up ?

Mend well and I hope you're back on two wheels in no time.

Apart from my collarbone breaking I held up very well, it didnt tear all the way thru, just the first mesh layer. Theres a few scuff marks on the solid material on the shoulder and I have a small friction burn the top of my arm. So that plus the small graze on the knee im fine plus a few small bruises.
