It's all good... big change from there to where you are now i must say....
I was an active memeber in region 24.. but since moving back and not knowing if i was staying i havent organised my transfer....

a slightly more active role i guess !!! better than
Region 24? Where is that? Somewhere in Vic? Im in the Sydney GSA so dont know what you mean by region... but Im guessing an area around country Vic??? Volunteer?

Yeah Region 24 is Datmouth, up in the Mitta Valley (vic)... bout 50km east of Wodonga
Each town in rural vic has 1 or 2 trucks manned by volunteersand are issued a region number. I was most active in the 2003 fires both as a CFA volunteer and registered Red Cross member... while doing both these jobs i also held down a fulltime job at the time. Going day and night for about 6 weeks...

Wow good stuff! Love working with the Volunteer's as Im always learning HEAPS from them at bushfires...

Yeah, fire'ees are a great bunch... and can sink plenty of piss!!!
I graduated with the Cudgwa crew (helped 1/2 of them to pass)...they were great with the prac,but the theory stuff daunted them...they knew my ER5 and used to stop in when it was at the pub... but im upgrading to the Z1000 should hav by 25th this month.....but all thats in another thread
Good to here ya happy with this job..its hard to get paid CFA work in vic..
Im currently working for an eduction provider 2 days looking after the edu department in a prision and 3 days at the main campus working in eductional Development... basicly making sure all our campuses adhere to gov legislation and standardising all the paper work.... The moneys ok but i miss being outside

yeah seen your thread on the z1000! Congrats... Its an awesome piece of kit!!!
Hard to get a job with any firey agency across oz... I work with a guy from Perth and i know some from qld! Get back into the Volo stuff... Esp now since Work Choice has gone the volo's should be able to come back without fear for their jobs!!! ok off to sink some piss like we all do

Last 7 years as a Instrument Sparky in a Diamond Mine in the North Kimberly, waiting for a voluntary redundancy. Ka Ching!!!

Longest job would've been my apprenticeship - so four years as a sparky for Powercor.
Rest of it has pretty much been 1 year stints - spent 2 years in the mines and now I'm at Melbourne Airport and have been here almost 2 years.
Might be time for a change soon!

Each job I've worked in, it's been as a sparky!
Tossing around the idea of my own business. But not sure at this stage.
Professional F1 driver or MotoGP rider is a bit out of reach I think!
