Chuffed, E10 is supposed to be 95 Ron, I have been running the 12 on it for about 2 years now without problems and in fact it was dyno'd with a full tank of E10. Also run my GTi on E10, I do not get as many kilometers out of a tank (down 20-30 litres in the car) but find the acceleration very crisp with no delay under power up to peak revs. At this stage I am happy with the fuel but I am also fussy where I get it.

as a comparison....
the 12R does PI on one tank..'bout 17 litres Ias I previously said
today....same trip to PI and return took 72 litres
used by a 6 litre V8 towing my race car on a tandem trailer

Hoffy, I have a good 'United' servo not far away and he seems to take a lot of time to make sure his servo is clean and tidy and his prices are always 4-5 cpl cheaper than the nearest competition so assume that he takes the same care with his bowsers and tanks. Some times use Shell E10, when they don't have the bowsers locked off (Cheap Tuesday Special) and have found that United are at all the right locations up and down the Pacific highway to the Qld border.

I just did the maths (see the other fuel consumption thread) and my bike gets similarly strong mileage to yours on cruise. Around town I must be a bit heavier on the throttle, or maybe my tune is a bit softer, as I'm only getting 210-230 with occasional excursions to say 200 and 240 probably depending on mood/riding type... but on cruise your figures aren't too unrealistic.

It's funny, I just put my stock can back on and got 235k's before she started flashing..that's a bone dry at 285k's.. not bad.
edit: thats under 7L per 100k's....I need to HTFU !

Ethanol at 10% adds approx 2 numbers to octane. Most 91 Ulp has an actual octane of 92-93 (closer to 92) so E10 should always be 94 - 95. United add 10% Ethanol to PULP (nominated 95 octane but again always a bit higher) for their claimed 98.

As far as this tank goes:
The better part of 100km was done at a 100km/h cruise, and the rest has been fairly lazy putting around town with one or two handfuls to remind me what I'm sitting on
Currently at 225km and still showing two bars - guessing I'm not far from that second bar dropping off but either way that's still one bar + flashing to go. Should piss in 260 I'm thinking!

Hoffy reckons he can squeeze 50k's out of that last flashing bar......if that is indeed the case, then 250-260km should be within range.....(just not *my* fuckin' range

)
I have a 16t front sprocket..........this explains the shitty fuel economy I get on the MFP12....

Fark me, if ya ran the 12 in the way froggy did you would never need to fuel it up, it would sit under ya queenslander house for ages and much speculation on forums before it used another tank of fuel....HTFU the lot of ya
Mindyou, just accept that u have a piggasss of a bike that will use fuel no matter what, thats what u get having the most powerful bike ever made, if you were worried about consumption get a farking 9R will ya and shut the fukup.

Out of interest I got on the bike and it was only showing one bar and then about 10-15km later started flashing.
I put in 16.93 litres with 249.8km on the clock.

just to dredge this thread up...
if a Power Commander is installed and everything else is stock, how much 'better' fuel economy would there be over plain stock?
... and what is this difference in tank sizes? will the bigger tank fit on the later models? Did they reduce tank capacity on later models?
