I'd concur - if I'd ridden a 10. But replace that with zx9r and you've got me.
It's a bitch up the hills, but it's fun to get to wring everything out of a bike once in a while.
I still miss my 9
HP - beyond the normal grain of salt with which you should take internet advice, I think it's worth listening to the suggestion not to buy new. Find a GPX250, ZZR250, ZR550, ER5, whatever, 2nd hand and learn on that. It's easier on your wallet when you buy, insure (you might not even bother with full comp), and repair.

Well I did some research and this is what I've got, the Hyosung GT250R's 2006 or earlier have the following problems:
* Clutch cable snapping within 5000 km. Replacement part is $20.
* Very noisy brakes at low speed.
* Rust in bolts around motorcycle.
* Soft brakes. This problem has been known to work itself out in time.
* Flat spot at 5000 RPM. This flat spot has been introduced to meet EPA standards and can be removed by cutting a single wire.
But apparently the they worked the kinks out in the 2007 model which is what I reckon I'll go for

I'm actually 188cm.... but no matter I've decided to go for the Hyosung gt250r just because I like the look and the size it just feels right. Im starting my new job in a week or so. so I should be able to pick one up fairly soon.

Some advise i was given...
Don't buy a brand new bike.... If u drop it you will cry more tears cos u spent x amount of $$ on it.... Plus ur only going to upgrade in a matter of a year + however many months u spend on ur l's
plus i dont know bout u, but it takes forever to save for a brand new bike, insurance, gear, rego etc and getting finance when u only just got ur job is a biatch!!!
Have u looked into insurance etc for the hyosung???
I should be alright, I'm starting this new job in a week or so... (when my glandular fever passes). It's all commissions but a my mate who did it last year ended up getting around $120, 000 for the year which I'd be pretty damn happy with at 18!
