Comin along nicely m8.
Couple of quick questions about the powder coating.
What would it cost someone to get the frame and the wheels done??
Can you get the powder coating done in different colours??
Cheers

Re: ZX6-R rebuild
I'd charge about $300 for frame, subframe, wheels and a few other bits and bobs, if i could just hang it up and spray it more if the parts need stripping or cleaning etc. There are lots of colours availble and these would affect the price aswell, my bike has had the spring and cam cover done in orange, the wheels are gloss black and the frame is a textured black. Other powdercoaters would probably do it cheaper because it not really what my business is set up for.

Re: ZX6-R rebuild
I've been busy again, i picked up another tail unit on ebay and am in the process of making a one peice tail unit for the bike i made a fibreglass mould of a spare seat

then glassed this to the seat unit

a bit of work with some filler and primer and then a thin peice of foam it should be a good job, i don't know if it will be any lighter than having a seperate seat but we'll see.
i also picked up another motor from ebay again for $202.50
had to go down to the 'gong to get it, all the wreckers in sydney wanted $800-$900 for one

i'd all ready powdercoated the spare frame we had so this with motor and the spare bits we got on the bike from brisbane we're well on our way to another bike,
although we still need a front end, exhaust and radiator oh and some money!

Bike no2 is still some way off being finished, i don't think our experimental front end is going to work somehow

We finally got both bikes out on track with no major problems apart from a dirty fuel filter
