I spotted that one the other night !! It has those fairing panels from Hong Kong, that I could have here in Oz for <$600 posted !!!
Which sounds pretty good - except the tank cover is not colour matched to the rest of the bike - which looks a bit shitty I reckon....
but for $600 ?? its a bargain....I wonder what the reserve is on that bike ? The colour scheme is not that different to the Vermulen 2010 WSB scheme that I am going with ....

Just picked up a nice 2006 tank cover off ebay for $80 ! Unmarked !!

will need to repainted of course, as it is silver.......
that was the last major bit of 'body' work that needed to be purchased.......but I still need the main fairing bracket (new OEM for $500

) - and the most expensive bit of all - a complete headlight assembly. These are like f'n hens teeth here

I hope so mate ! And with the Vermulen paint-job, it should be heaps quicker.....
I have mate, but not on Craigslist ! will check it out - thanks for the link
That headlight was for an A-model.....bugger ! but the US is really the only place that stuff comes up for these models at a reasonable price - they sold shitloads of 12's there.....

If my memory serves me correctly .. Brighton Kawa has had a new 12 headlight hanging up in spares for years . I reckon it was in the joint when Kenny Nixon owned it . Dunno the model but worth a call 9557 4383
Might be able to negotiate a price with Mick if its the right one .

they came through with a heap of replies for some 1000RX bits I was looking for the other day......maybe because its winter, and business may be a bit slow out in wrecker-land ??

I love ebay !
One of
these arrived in the PO box a couple of days ago.....about $85 posted from China ! Sure beats the >$650 price from Kawasaki Oz ...
And one of
these turned up in the mail last week......I paid $230 posted for one that was a bit cheaper than this, but still brand-new OEM in the box. These things are >$500 from Kawsaki Oz !!
Grabbed all the fairings from the paintshop today, to do a final fitting before they start to prep the bodywork for a special paintjob......and still considering a ZX10R sub-frame conversion......but for the time being, happy with purchases thus far. I still have to hook up the ZX10R switchblock that Wattie gave me....and also still need a ding-less tank, and straight handlebars......all in good time.
It will be fun to actually give the 12 a bit of a pizzling up at the Creek this weekend, it will be the first time it has been out for a good strop since about May ....

Wow, that is a helluva lot cheaper than OEM for the bracket. And not a lot of metal for the (OEM) money either.
Good going Gos.
