Don't be a girl Sean........back straight QR can easily do 220-230redzedx7r wrote:these speeds are done on a test track

on the zzr600 i've seen 235kph indicated....pretty steady at that speed
on the zx7r i've had her up to 260kph indicated and that was fuggin scary with a bit of cross wind. At QR i had her upto 210kph on the main straight and 190kph on the back before i shit myself, i think that i'd be a little faster now as that was after i only had the bike for three months.
I try to be as sensible as i can but every time i go out of town on a run i like to run the bike upto 200+ just to let them know who is boss![]()
its not the speed that will kill rather the deceleration trauma at the end
Apparently my bike does about 250ish(perhaps a tad more) with +3 on back(sprocket) and a black zx12r makes this look slow
I would hate to be called a hoon or tagged a "boy racer".

Saw an indicated 275 on my ZZR1100D1 many years ago.
At the Easter 2000 meeting at Bathurst, I calculated my ZXR750 was doing somewhere in the region of 290 down Conrod (tried following the fast guys like Curtain, and tipped into the Chase at around 250 ; survived the experience without coming off, but I don't think I've ever been that scared before or since on a bike).
Cheers,
Brian

Do not walk behind me, for I may not be leading
Do not walk in front of me, for I may not be following
Do not walk alongside me, for the path may be narrow
Just piss off and leave me alone

He he he I have on my ZX12. 290 in 5th and still pulling. Backed off cause she started to get air under her and a bike starting to move around at this speed got a little disconcerting.
4 wheels is 2 wheels too many
