Only other way to fix a dirty injector ( which sounds like the problem to me) is to take them all out, and throw them in an ultrasonic bath at your local friendly Bosch DynoTune place. This will bring them up like brand-new.
Bike is stuffed again :(

Stereo - make sure you change your fuel filter for a new one, prior to bunging in a bottle of injector cleaner........I use Wynns, and a whole bottle at a time
its the business mate, will clean those injectors way good. After a big hit of cleaner, then 1/2 a bottle for the next 2 fills will see you right.

Fuck knows.... On the weekend run it ran perfectly except for a moment in Gisbourne when it seemed to foul for about 2 seconds... a bit of blue smoke... and didnt have a problem for the rest of the day...Yankee wrote:what's the word Stereo?
get the 'ol gal up and running again? what was the problem?
Going to run a third tank of cleaner through it (the bottle recommends a third of the bottle per tank)... but everything seems fine...
Indications are that it was an injector blockage....

Never been a huge fan of injector cleaner. If you are having that much difficulty with injectors then you should probably get them ultra-sonically cleaned. Remember, the injectors got dirty because of the petrol running through them in the first place (and the contaminants that go with it), and sometimes the contaminant particles are so big they simply won't flow through the injector, regardless of how much injector cleaner you use.
What colour is the spark plug coming out and what texture (if any) desposit is on the electrodes?

Also - if it was an injector blockage... then generally it should be the case that the only cylinder(s) that is(are) running *rich* will be cylinder(s) with a higher flowing injector in it. I'm not saying it's impossible, but in your case three cylinders have poor flowing injectors, and one doesn't.

Well as long as everything has sorted itself out then i guess it doesn't matter
I'm sure you probably know all this - but here goes anyway
If it's an EFI system when it's running in 'closed loop' mode (often that means anything other than when the throttle is wide open) it will adjust the mixture based on the amount of oxygen left in the exhaust gases. If the injectors start flowing poorly, then the computer will attempt to correct it by increasing the time that the injectors are open.
Unfortunately, most EFI systems (and i'm not sure about your particular one) don't have control of 'indivudual' injectors, it can only control the group. It's not like you'll get cylinders running lean (thank god) but any cylinder that has a perfectly fine injector will run slightly rich, or very rich, depending how badly blocked the other injectors are.
