Yeah, they do if your feet are larger than your boots.... They wont if your feet are smaller ofcourse...

My Gearnes were actually half a size too small when I got them (hey, they were free) and ended up fitting like a glove...

If you have boots that are too large..... leather shrinks when wet.... use this knowledge carefully...

they shrink permanently? how to avoid or revise it if it did happen?

umm 2 solutions...

1. dont ride in the wet
2. treat em with a waterproofer BEFORE they get wet...

Just remember, boots are something you wear every time.... So dont get the cheapest ones, because they simply wont last as long...
I think these are the same boots as mine. I've done 65,000k with them on in two and a half years. They do leak a bit in heavy rain, the relfective patch on the heal doesn't last too long, and I find the velcro isn't big enough on the calf. This means after a while it just doesn't stick and that part of the boot sticks out. Eventually it starts to pull the zip down and the boot becomes loose.

I would also not recommend doing a track day if you've lost a toe slider...
