I have facebook. - but it's soo pass'ee.... and i check once in a sparrows' fart.
Now is blood family only, and not the 700 'friends' it was.
Between linked in, facebook, twitter bebo, and a multitude of other social networking sites... I gave up on the lot

)
I come here for the interesting writeups and advice.. which facebook just doesn't give... I love the banter when it is occurringl... and even when ther eis nothing moving in this land it's good to know it's still a place to come back to ;o)

Like.
I see nothing wrong with a Sunday ride being only 2-5 people - sounds perfect in fact.
And yes - it's been a while for me, so take my opinion with however much salt you like.
The Sunday OPH rides were often just me, Dave#3 and Cath - sometimes just me (when it rained), sometimes just them (when I got nagged). Any regular rides need at least one regular - that's no longer me, but others having taken the position. And Phil's always on the South Sydney one.
FB is a time-waster, but it got me connected with people I hadn't seen since high-school. Now I don't chat to them anyway - so who knows what the point of that was. Apart from work I mostly joined FB to keep in touch with the KSRC people that took it up, and that I no longer kept up with much due to not riding as much.
So I got dragged kicking and (almost) screaming - so I'm on your side Glen, actually wouldn't mind exiting (there is a cancel your account option somewhere)
But like MadKaw I think it's a little silly for others to be complaining that not much is happening anymore when either - a) there is, or b) they won't organise something.
Seems not much happens on FB anyway unless it's lavatory, culinary, or 4-wheeled related

I use both but cant access FB at work apart from my I Phone, I'm on this all day at work. I always find somthing to pass the time. Those that want to ride will and those that cant, will still try. Those that are not as regular as they once were, well maybe as times get tougher and we have to work more riding time becomes more and more of a luxury. I have little time 6 days a week work. But i'll attempt to get out when I can. (not very often I admit).
New bike so hopefully things change. Old bikes kept me off the road, but I still was on here when I could be.
In a nut shell, no I dont think its killing us, time is.
Thats my $0.02 cents worth anyway.

I got sick, had operation, recovered, worked 2 weeks , had a month off with atypical pneumonia, am poor now, still sick & started new job at parramatta today and havent managed to be well enough to ride since october last year.
How's that?
and why are you a trademark now? do you get royalties every time someone takes your name in vain?

Only did it coz my kids wont answer the phone, because it has all ya details and what you have been up to I no longer have to ask them whats happening and get "oh nuthin"
Dumb generation, always making it public
