Aspherhesis (sp?) donors give every 2 weeks, as only plasma is removed, not the red blood cells, so iron levels are not such a problem.
Give Blood!
I once had to self donate 4 pints before an op. They only agreed to take it because it was autologous. Even then they only took two and said I couldn't give any more.

Woohoo! I have come late into this thread because I have been away, but keeping in touch with Tanya for Sasha's progress.
Sasha, keep fighting girl, you have so much to live for - including bashing Tanya for threatening you with a pink scooter!

Just heard from Tanya.
Sasha had another operation today which went well, she is still making tiny steps forward.
Still not out of the woods yet, so keep her in your thoughts and we'll have her back with us soon

I'm back.. ever heard of a sales rep squeeze nearly 3000km and 15 bike shops into 2.5 days..
I got back and went straight to the hospital.
They're bringing her out of the coma, they need to do it to check for brain injuries.
Today the doctor yelled at her and she opened her eyes, her leg is moving and so is her head. These are good signs.
She is still on the respirator thingy, her blood is coagulating, blood pressure is up, as is her pulse.
She is still critical, they are still rating her at only 25%. They're treating her surviving this long as a miracle, we're hoping for more.
