   Yeah funny thing while we were stopped at the top of reefton spur swapping lies, I ran into an old riding buddy, who gets along pretty nicely and spends almost every weekend riding the Two spurs. He was shocked  when he noticed what I was riding, and asked the obvious question, WHY??????

I told him the 636 wasn't enough of a challenge!!!

My mates as we were stopped for lunch, saw a Harley with a sidecar go by, and remarkd that I will be on one of them next. :x :x :x :x

I replied with "Won't matter, you two will still be behind me" Bahahahaha!    Had to be there Gos!

bloody tyres...
i wheel the weapon out yesterday morn b4 heading out to Bathurst.
and notice the front tyre is touching the wear indicators...

its a BT019 (apparently designed for the Z1000)
it has only 6800kms on it. (bike is brand new)
and its wearin on the sides... not middle not extreme edges just off to the sides.
still got plenty on the middle, so i think it will last me a few more weeks.

ive NEVER worn the middle out of a front tyre..........rears are usually a lot more "even" in the wear stakes  . 6800 isnt bad, i dont see a problem here

oh ok then... i was thinkin s shoudl get about 2 rears to a front, but sounds liek i'll have to start doing front and backs together once i wear out this bt020 on the rear... (only 3 weeks old)

just on another note.
went to bathurst yesterday with my car calub (except i went on my bike)
did about 8 spirited laps of the track with a couple of ppl planted at the entrance to the track to sight for blues.

i managed to leave long black lines out of most corners (being the only bike on the track) saw them growing each lap, quite happy with myself and the fact that the BT020 besides squirming a bit under power isnt even looking shreaded.. just looking nice :)

you know Wattie, thats exactly what I thought would be the case with my new bike, but no, its change both at the same time.... :( every 6 months  I never expected to be spending $1k every year on tyres

Good news about the blackies, I bet they looked excellent after 8 laps !!!

Buggered if I know... it doesn't feel like it's wobbling, more like the bars are pulsating in my hands. That probably doesn't make any sense, but it's the only way to describe it. And I've never felt anything like it before.

I did a track day at Phillip Island with it like it, so I really can't be bothered getting it checked.
Thats exactly what jess's zzr250 does?!?!??!

mine was doing that at about 80kays when you let go of the bars.
filled my handle bars with lead shot yesterday (weird i know) to stop the Z's annoying buzz, and it seemed to fix it a bit.
no garentee (cant spell)
