i'm not sure if thats correct. the way i understand is that its double dmerits for speeding and seatbelts violations. so if you get stung doing 15km/h over it's 4 points and 20km/h over it's gonna cost ya 6 points. and it's 6 points for every person not wearing a seatbelt. i think you do get double the fine aswell. in any case it's a good reason to keep it parked for the weekend unless you're just touring.

ahhhh...complaining mexicans! Us QLDers kinda have double demerits all the time...now...does that make double demerits really double demerits or just normal demerits? What happen when they have a double demerits weekend?? Is it then quadrouple demerits?? Ahhhh!!! So confusing...

do they set certain times when u will lose double dermit points ?? down here in tassie its just one rule that stays in all the time...
11-15 = 1 point + $80
15-30 = 3 Points + $110
31-44 = 3 months instant loss + lots of cash
45+ = 4 Months Instant loss + your soul

When Carl Scully, as roads minister, moved the changes to the fine structure which increased the fine for 45 over the limit from $660 to $1515, the Liberals voted with the NSW Government on the issue.
Right now, they're saying that Eric Roozendal, the current NSW roads minister, isn't going far enough with his plan to spend $400-odd million installing flashing lights and electronic hoardings outside schools and traffic lights at pedestrian crossings...
...put your faith in one lot over the other at your own risk.
