Temporary internet files get cleaned out when I do a drive clean, usually once a week, or at most once a fortnight, so I guess I would mean cookies, and possibly thumbnail cache

cache is on the ram -the system memory, it gets cleaned up everytime u re-start the computer, if cookies, then u can view it with windows explorer path such as C:\Documents and Settings\"Username"\Cookies\

it'll show u all the cookies and then u can be selective from there :D

Try this little app if you want to clean out your temp files.

http://downloads.stevengould.org/cleanup/CleanUp312.exe

We use it for cleaning up pcs at work...

cache is actually in the processor (level 1) or on the motherboard (level 2)
The term is also used to refer to a program's cache which would be on the hdd.

just felt like being a picky barstard ;)
