				Just pointing out that having my bike on bikesales.com.au for about 4 weeks yielded the following
Your small ad viewed 5514 times and your large ad viewed 250 times (updated daily).
Just a shame that bikepoint didn't allow me to gather the number of hits as that would actually be quite interesting to compare the two.
nothing more to see here, move along now please.

				I tohught this might have been something about bike adertising on TV (none) and radio (very minmal) but alas not. I do find it interesting that you can get 75 car ads in any particular ad block but yu can watch tv for a week solid and 74 different channels and yet to see a bike ad with the possible exception of Two Wheel Torque on channel 31.
<rant>So here we are in 2006 with every 2nd man and their dog (including some motorcyclists) bitching about traffic congestion and the price of petrol and the motorbike is a BLINDINGLY obvious solution to both these issues but we'll just close our eyes and hope they go away....
Sure they're not the solution for the 80yo grandmother that needs to go to church on Sunday (she can get on the back with Mina as he rides like a nanna anyways) but they are a great solution for a shitload of other people.
</end rant>

				Yeah but Mick, those motorbikes are dirty, noisy dangerous things ridden by hoons and murders. You can harp on about great petrol consumption and reduced congestion, but with little or no weather protection, no air bags and having to mess up ya hair with those awkward hats, there's a lot more to convince the general population.
We're stereotyped by Hells Angels, 60s & 70s biker gangs (Mods vs Rockers), high mortality rates, and anti-social behaviour. It takes a bit more than offering a few dollars savings and a couple of minutes shaved off a journey to change years of prejudice.

yea a few times..... mostly during sbk/moto gp type broadcasts...
over here Show & Go bikes are advertising scooters from $2k to ease fuel costs etc...and a few bike dealers occasionally do their own ads...

Nope, only bike advertising I see/hear is for a Kawasaki store in Ferntree Gully and that's on the radio..
